Remember Black Shoes 2006

March 4th - 24th, 2006

Reception: Saturday March. 4th 6 - 9 pm

Recent paintings, mixed-media works, and installations by the Fort Wayne collective e4 is on view at Charlie Cummings Clay Studio & Gallery in March 2006.

e4, active in the local art scene since 2003, is comprised of a quartet of Fort Wayne artists: Seth Harris, Tracy Row, Jason Stopa, and Eric Tarr. Remember Black Shoes features an electic blend of individual works from each of the artists, as well as the debut of several new collaborative mixed media paintings.

Individually, the artists present works ranging from Row's collages and portraits, to Harris' small square paintings, to Stopa's mixed media installations, to Tarr's pieces addressing "the exploration of basic ideas...in a different light."

The collaborative works, in which each of the artists has a creative hand, focus on the idea of memory.

"The collaborative pieces deal with how we were," Stopa states. "They're a remembrance or commemoration of an earlier time period as individuals and as a collective-a band of brothers."
